How injectable treatments differ post-quarantine
In March, when the entire North American area went into quarantine due to the spread of COVID-19, everyone’s world was changed. Elective cosmetic treatments were no longer available, and bars, restaurants, and stores closed across the nation. However, as states begin to lift restrictions, many of our patients are wondering what to expect for their injectable treatment during this post-quarantine phase. Elective procedures are now allowed, but patients can expect these services to change from the minute patients step into the office. The doctors of the Skin Center of South Miami encourage patients to fully understand the steps that are taken with every patient to ensure safety.
What to expect at your next injection appointment
If you are long overdue for a replenishing injectable since your last appointment, we understand. With the limitations that were set upon the service industry, many of these treatments that needed to be administered by professionals were put on hold. Now that patients can book these appointments, we want to prepare patients for what to expect when they visit our office.
- Reduced staff. While you may be used to seeing our entire staff the minute you step foot in our waiting room, please understand that we have reduced the number of staff in the front office to respect social distancing requirements.
- Screenings. Every patient who enters our practice will undergo an initial screening to check for COVID-19 symptoms. Patients will need to fill out a form verifying that they have not had any symptoms, and our team will take the patient’s temperature before they get to the front desk.
- Personal protective equipment. Our staff will be wearing proper PPE, and we also require patients to come into the office with a mask as well. Masks can be removed momentarily for patients to undergo treatment, but must be used at all other times in our facility for everyone’s safety.
